What do you do when you aren't teaching?
I had a wonderful time taking a beating in the ocean 3 weeks ago after the tropical storm blew through. it rare that there are size able waves to surf in the Atlantic ocean but Sunday the 6th was one of those exceptional days. My bother and I spent about three hours in 3 to 6ft surf. It was lot of fun and also reminded us we aren't college kids anymore.

As part of the Penn State Master Gardener Program I just logged in my volunteer hours for the year. I am now up to 250 hours and counting. I have been a master gardener since 1990 and specialize in perrenials, herbs and container gardening. I will be happy to answer any gardening questions and will be bringing in some of my plant divisions in the spring to share.
Remember, fall is for planting!
